Receipt for a year's tuition (or the whole course if shorter); from Pakistan you may pay after approval in principle.
Bank statement / proof of funds
NZD 20,000 for each year of study, with 3 months of history; explain any deposit over NZD 2,000. A sponsor or a Financial Undertaking for a Student (INZ 1014) also works.
Health insurance certificate
Medical and travel insurance for your whole stay, acceptable to your provider.

Studying 6 months or more: a chest x-ray from a panel physician in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi.
Police character certificate
Under 6 months old, uploaded with the application (a receipt is not accepted).
Polio vaccination certificate (NIMS/NADRA)
Pakistan exit requirement, not a visa document: when you leave Pakistan you must show a NIMS/NADRA vaccination certificate including polio (the old paper card is no longer accepted, and since 14 September 2026 airports check a NADRA-integrated vaccination record). Verify current rules.

Apply to a provider that has signed the code of practice for international learners. From Pakistan you can apply with a conditional offer; INZ then approves in principle until the offer is unconditional.
