Usually needed

  • Passport

Issued in the last 10 years, with two blank pages, valid at least three months after you leave the Schengen area; with copies of every page that has a stamp.

  • Visa application form (signed)

The France-Visas application, printed and signed, with its receipt.

  • Passport-size photograph (destination specification)

  • Return ticket reservation and accommodation booking

Your return ticket and your hotel booking or trip programme; staying with family or friends, their attestation d’accueil instead of a hotel.

  • Bank statement / proof of funds

Bank statements for the last six months; retired, your pension certificate.

Needed in some situations

  • Invitation letter from host or business

Family or friends: the original attestation d'accueil your host gets from their town hall, and proof of your family link if you have one. Business or events: an invitation from the company or organisation with the reason, exact dates and length of your stay.

  • Employer reference or leave letter (NOC)

Your employment contract or a work certificate giving the trip's dates and purpose.

  • FBR income tax return / wealth statement

With your proof of work: your tax returns for the previous two years.

  • Salary slips

Salary slips for the last three months.

  • Letter from the treating hospital or clinic abroad

A certificate from the Embassy's appointed doctor that the treatment is not possible in Pakistan; the hospital's admission letter with dates, length and estimated cost; proof you paid the estimate; and a signed undertaking to pay any extra costs.

  • Polio vaccination certificate (NIMS/NADRA)

Pakistan exit requirement, not a visa document: when you leave Pakistan you must show a NIMS/NADRA vaccination certificate including polio (the old paper card is no longer accepted, and since 14 September 2026 airports check a NADRA-integrated vaccination record). Verify current rules.
