How to apply, step by step
Your family member applies in Spain
Your family member, a non-EU national living legally in Spain, applies for the family reunification authorisation at the Government Sub-delegation (Oficina de Extranjería). Spain checks their residence, income and housing at this stage (verify). It covers one spouse or partner (both 18 or over), children under 18 or who cannot support themselves because of a disability, parents aged 65 or over who depend on them (younger only for humanitarian reasons), and an adult child who cares for a dependent family member in Spain.
